Well tomorrow I will be reporting to work officially. It's going to be a new place, new environment, new people and certainly much to expect. For now I am just hoping that I could have the facility there to express my milk for my dear little Keziah.
Talking about Keziah, it really makes me feel rather depress having to go back to work. It is this stage where she is getting so interactive and engaging that you really want to be with her to mark every milestone. Looking at her, I believe she will be flipping soon especially with the moments when she tries to go head down as if she's making all efforts to turn. At least I have seen her first smile, first head lift on the tummy, first roll on her side.....This is the only thing I could say to comfort myself. I am sure going to miss all these moments.

Well this week is seriously about relinquishing my gal to my parents and having some time off for myself be it cleaning up the room or just preparing myself to be ready for my job commencing next Monday. Certainly had to make sure I could fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. Yeah! Not too bad still managing a snug fit especially my bottoms. A few more inches off my waist would be good otherwise. Went for a hairdo. Curls are the in-thing so thought I'll just give a try. Rather refreshingly new from my usual straight cut. U guys might want to decide which is better for me..heehee..curls or straight?
Mozziez...
ARgh.....not sure what's wrong these days, mosquitoes are just simply in love with me. Everywhere I go I get bitten while the rest around me enjoys the peace and quiet from them. Have I gotten to be so sweet? The only I did was to express milk instead of latching baby on in the day in preparation for returning to work. Help help...I simply hate them now. Can't even catch them in action to kill the culprit. I think I need to wear a space suit out! =S

Today while doing my quiet time with the Lord, I am reminded to really evaluate myself how I have been walking with Him. Since the birth of Keziah, I have been so ever tired and somehow spiritually I find myself rather aloft. This is certainly a strong calling amidst all trials and testing, be it physically, mentally and spiritually, to watch our ways. Are we close to the Lord?

Beginning of Routine of Working Mum
Today marks the commencement of the routine we would adopt in 2 weeks officially when I start working. Can't imagine how life would be starting work again. The day began at 0530 where we would awake and get ready to catch a ride from my father-in-law at 0630 to send Keziah to my mum's place. What's makes it really tiring was that Keziah didn't get to bed till 2230 last night and I only finished expressing milk and hit bed only at 2330. Keziah got up at 0430 to feed so basically I had only about 5hrs of sleep. Zzzzzzz.....
Thankfully at my mum's I managed to catch a 45min nap in the late morning while my parents tend to her most of the time. She too has to get adapted to feeding fully on bottle in the day. Looks like 125ml is a good feed for her so far. Might just increase a little later on. As usual she naps only 30-40min. Oh how I wish she could nap longer. She seems fine at my mum's aside from the sudden episode of screaming cries sounding as if she's been had a fall or in great pain when she woke from her noon nap and regurgitated some milk. I really didn't know what to do but to put her on my breast again to feed and comfort her.

I am starting to really love my MAC. Heehee...just done up the first few moments of Keziah using iMovie. It's so cool and easy to use though I must say there is some limitations to certain things you want to do. Nonetheless, it's quite idiot proof to use.
Fever?
Well it is mentioned that the 5-in-1 jab might lead to fever in our little one though it's only 5% chance. Yet dearest mummy was rather worried since morning as there were many incidents of babies having complications with fever. Keziah woke up as usual and was actually quite typically herself except feeling alittle warmer than the norm. Took her temperature a few times and realised at one point her temperature was 37.5 degrees celsius. Immediately administered the fever medication given. Her temperature went down to 36.8 degrees rather quickly. Whew! Heehee..was also more relaxed and allowed her to nurse more often. She still didn't nap for long - three 30min naps till 5.25pm when she went down for her last nap for the day. Till now she's not up and already 1.5h beyond her feeding time. Worried but she's breathing and still making little twitches at times. Erm..accidentally hit her head when I picked her up earlier but she reacted fine after that. Guess this shouldn't be the cause of her oversleeping. Now have to just wait for her to wake for her feed sponge and hopefully getting to bed for the night well. This worrisome mother has forgotten to take a picture to record her 3 month milestone as a result. Hiaz..tomorrow muz do a good picture.
3 Months..
Keziah is 3 months old today. She now weighs 5.42kg of a length 60.5cm and a head circumference of 40cm. Well was expecting her to be heavier though. Anyway the PD said she's on the average side and as long as she's developing well, that's fine! Today Keziah also had her 1st jab of 5-in-1. Guess she's not friends with needles. Should look at her stunned look when the PD jab her. Her smiley looks immediately disappeared and out rang a cry. This time round after a quick cuddle she managed to calm down unlike the previous time when she went on and on. Thought she would really nap when she came home but she didn't. Just took a short wink and blame it mummy who tried to clean her hands while she's asleep.
My Hair....
Hmmm..wonder if reality has set in and the myth of hair loss after pregnancy has come true. It seems that I am having an increase in the number of strands of hair falling off. Arghh...thought I could escape it. Hope it's not going to get too serious with just those that need to go departing from my crown of glory.
Reminiscence
Guess now I am more comfortable with motherhood to really sit down with some of MY time to explore things. I was rather inspired by my pal to look back at my wedding pictures which was not so long ago. I finally learned to create a filmloop to cast here on the web. There is now so many free things on the web to make life easy and fun. Guess the next will be a trace of my pregnancy and Keziah's growth.
On her fours...
Heehee..had the opportunity to catch her on all FOURS today...Rather cute right? Actually had alot more interesting pictures but silly mummy didn't know that the camera was on auto mode and ended up with blurred pictures. Only managed to change to night mode in the later stage to catch these shots. Somehow Keziah still spots a funky hairdo despite her hair growing long. Wonder when her hair will ease off and come flat.
Something New Everyday
We thank LORD that Keziah is now 12 weeks old. Well she's not the same old baby that I once knew her. Now she has gown up and become more interested in the things around her. She would talk to the Nepia Diaper bag when she's changing and try to communicate with anyone who talks baby language with her. Well guess she also has a thing about orange. Daddy and Mummy are now kind of expert in baby language after spending much time communicating with her.
She is an attention seeker... always wanting people to talk to her. She's the center of attraction too.. with her big round eyes looking at you and listening and talking with you... it'll sure melt your hearts away.... She loves people to play with her too... and she's often spotted with her big wide smile on her face on good days. She's cranky on her bad days... but which babies don't cry when they're hungry... tired... or wet... that'a what babies do... EAT, SLEEP and CRY.... now that we are acustomed to her habits, we can roughly tell what her cries meant and we are quick to deal with her demands to avoid a war cry.
Like mother, like daughter... her sleeping habits are still pretty much the same, often catching power naps in the day, sleeping from 10 - 30 mins max each time especially on weekends. Erm...not too good though for a baby. Can't disregard that she does take at least once a day a nap of 1-2h on weekdays.
Watching her grow and reaching each milestone is a great achivement for both my hubby and me. We are amazed that Keziah can actually lift her head high up while she's lying on her tummy though she's struggling to make a flip still. Pity didn't have the camera handy to catch her first head lift as of yesterday. Yipeee to see her being able to lift her head up... but it worries us now that she is losing our favourite sleeping position for her (she used to be able to sleep for long hours on her tummy).

Isn't she CUTE in the BUMBO seat??
Hmm....she must be wondering what is this new thing that Daddy and Mummy have put her into.. the Bumbo seat to encourage her to sit upright with compliments from Uncle Ah Lian and Auntie Natalie and of course baby Cheryl. Erm..maybe abit early ya.. a few more weeks probably she will sit better.

New Sleeping Pose
Keziah must be real tired to be able to sleep in such a pose which would calls for her wake should she stir. She was initially on her side and I'm not too sure how she must have turned without waking herself.
A spark of JOY and SENSITIVITY
This week has been the beginning of adjustment for Keziah and me to prepare her for my absence in 3 weeks when I have to return to work. She has started her bottle regime of 1-2 bottles a day and a regular visit to my mum's from Tues to Thu. I have started to express my milk more diligently especially when she feeds on bottle and my breasts start to feel super full with tingling sensation if I don't empty them by the 2nd feed.
Noted a few things about Keziah
1) Smiled alot more especially when you interact with her.
2) Seems to enjoy my mum and dad (especially my dad's company - guess coz he carries her to sleep and jiggles alot with her)
3) No problem with bottles so far, taking about 130ml or more I guess as she seems to demands more when I gave her 120-125ml.
4) Too distracted by the noise in HDB by the road that she doesn't really nap
5) Amazing! 4 nights a row she slept from 8.30-9pm till 4.30-5.30am in the night without waking up for a feed. Not sure about noises she makes coz it wasn't loud enough to wake me till morning. Seems like her waking is also getting progressively later which is a good thing to match our working schedule. Record breaking of about 9.5h for last night. Not sure if it's coz she refuses to nap at my parent's place for more than 30 min each time in the day.
6) Knocked out today from 12.30pm to 2.35pm and still sleeping when at home today. Didn't even wake up by my breast pump after I put her down for the second time after awoken by it. Moved around during her nap without waking when mummy here thinks she gonna wake as she raised her head while on tummy. Why so? Coz it's quieter? Coz she's back on my bed which she sleeps on during the day when home? Is she that sensitive to her environment?

Excitement with every development
It's really so interesting to see how Keziah develops each day. In the past she used to just happen to be fortunate to have got her hands caught with some toys and simply moving them around. Today she is able to actually grab and hold her rattle and wave it around. Not to mention having a good lick on it.

Yupz yupz the sales are here! I really want to go out shopping. Heehee...wonder if Baby Keziah is ready for it. Well, I am still considering my odds of bringing her out and most probably will use a pram. Ha Ha otherwise I think I will have my hands all full.

Heehee and I am very happy she's napping alittle better though not very long naps and I seems to have to watch over her. I think she is really quick temper over the things she wants. Needs must be met asap. Still a light sleeper unless she can step into deep sleep. Today the aircon man is here to check out our leaking aircon and it happens to be her nap time. Woke up once by the noisy machine (yes, it sounds like a super high powered vaccum that rumbles alot) to clean out the clogged pipe. After 20 min of carrying upright and rubbing her back, she finally fell back to sleep amidst the noise and I successfully put her down on her tummy.
